I will be narrowing the rear portion as well but it will be a bit more than that but that's no big deal. WebDescription. The one owner I know that did a 1/2 ton Stude pickup on an S10 frame said he would have used a Dodge Dakota frame if he were to do it again. In my mind, the track width is probably more important than length. Much easier to lengthen/shorten than widen/narrow the track ... WebMay 24, 2016 · Mini tub it and you can go as narrow the rear end to 52.25" A/F to A/F and fit a 10 inch wide wheel with 5..25 inch backspace. I was able to fit a some 18x10wheels with 295/35/18's. It will take some narrowing of the frame rail and re-boxing of the frame rail but well worth it and wont damage the integrity of the back of the car. tacori ht2558b
