I just started a aquarium also I ran it with out co2 for mayb 2 weeks and my Swords and Anubis didn’t die they just weren’t growing. But in the last two weeks iv been dosing with co2 and flourish. WebTends to grow up rather than out for me but I did have to reduce lighting for algae reasons. It's doable without legit Co2 but it's not nearly as impressive. I think what is important is planting it deep in a good substrate as well as the classic high light and Co2 which seem pretty achievable with a 10G set up.
